Costa Maya - Cruise Ship Information

There is no question, after some of the creations of the Maya, that they were an intelligent group of people. And once you've seen the beauty along the coast of the Yucatan peninsula, you will also be recognized for their taste in real estate.

Puerto Costa Maya is farther south than the area that is commonly known as the Riviera Maya. The hotel is located north of the city Majahual, Puerto Costa Maya is one of the southernmost areas of Yucatan in MexicoPeninsula.

There is not much around here in the way of modern development, but if Costa Maya opened its doors to the cruise lines in 2001, it quickly became one of the most popular cruise destinations in the Caribbean. A visit here is almost like a trip to a deserted island, ripe with natural beauty, and without an abundance of tourist hype.

On our trip here, we chose the Jungle Beach Break "excursion. We were loaded on a comfortable, air conditioned bus for the rideNorth to a private beach. If you're a habitual reader of my articles, you'll know that for me is one of the largest of the road trip is an excursion there. This was no different - they give us the opportunity to see a very primitive area of southern Mexico, while on the road.

Just before our destination, a small road through dense jungle gave way to a ripped-forgotten white beach with clear turquoise waters. There was an open bar here, so keep most of the guests very well. But my wife and I are avid snorkelers and after looking at the long, wide pier juts into the Caribbean, we knew that another world was waiting for us under this structure.

We hurriedly took our snorkeling gear and slipped into the water. Immediately we were met by the residents of this forgotten coast, are in the form of tropical fish all in all imaginable colors, against the background of the coral-crusted pier legs. Visibility under water was here in the neighborhood of 100Feet.

Although it is much to see, while in circulation on the surface, I often found myself diving for a closer look at the lower end of the pier. My wife made a comment that I must have grown gills, because I was under water more than I appeared. I am a certified diver, and I must say that life in the sea under the pier that I have ever seen diving on a beat. And that was accessible from the coast, with only a mask, snorkel and fins.

We ended up spendingall day in the context of this pier, amazed at the treasure of the technicolor underwater world that lived there. When we got to the beach, we found that we have cruisemates, taken full advantage of the free bar was, was more jovial than usual.

Puerto Costa Maya offers a variety of entertainment options at the cruising altitude crowd. It is the only port that I knew that the developed mainly of dense jungle, specifically for the hospitality industry, the cruise line industry. Other AttractionsHere Chacchoben trips to the Maya ruins, and of course diving and snorkeling trips. If you prefer this stop playing low-key, sit you a wealth of shops, will find restaurants and spots to relax and remove tag. There is even a huge pool, which sell between several restaurants and shops, using snakes for free. Check with your cruise line for more information on all available options!
